  6. Prepare 1 jar of hot fudge

Chop up the peanut butter cups. Place the chocolate chips and peanut butter in separate microwave-safe bowls and stir a teaspoon of oil into each. Dollop the whipped cream on top of the pie and smooth it into a thick layer. Top with whipped cream; sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.

Steps to make Peanut Butter Pie:
  1. Mix peanut butter, sugar, cool whip & cream cheese together until well blended.
  2. Pour mixture into pie shell and evenly level mixture.
  3. Place pie in refrigerator covered, until well set, about 1 hour.
  4. Pour hot fudge over pie filling and top pie with remaining cool-whip.
  5. Sprinkle pie topping with miniature chocolate chips.
  6. Cover pie and place in refrigerator, until ready to serve.
  7. NOTE: Double recipe to use a 9x13" pan to create brownie like squares. Also, sprinkle mini chocolate chip morsels on top, instead of hot fudge.

Dollop the whipped cream on top of the pie and smooth it into a thick layer. Top with whipped cream; sprinkle reserved crumbs on top. Slice and serve the Peanut Butter Pie as is, or add a dollop of ice cream on the side. Press into the bottom and sides of a pie pan. Remove from heat, and pour into a bowl.
