Those days we don't make much of chapathis and even it is made once a month. My dad hates to eat rotis and being a diabetic and also a die hard fan of these wheat dosa, my mom makes this often. After i got married at my in laws place, they don't make wheat dosa. Godhuma Dosa Recipe is a nutritious instant dosa made with whole wheat flour, that is very quick to make and healthy to eat.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook godhumai dosa using 25 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Godhumai Dosa:
  1. Take For potato filling
  2. Prepare 4 boiled potatoes
  3. Prepare 1 onion
  4. Take 1 " piece ginger
  5. Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  6. Make ready 2 tb sp peanuts
  7. Get 1 Green chilli
  8. Prepare 1 tb sp desiccated coconut powder
  9. Get 4-6 curry leaves
  10. Prepare To taste salt
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli
  12. Make ready 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. Make ready 1 tb sp cooking oil
  14. Prepare 1/2 tsp coriander seeds powder
  15. Make ready For dosa batter
  16. Take 1 bowl wheat flour
  17. Take 1/2 bowl rice flour
  18. Prepare 1 tb sp semolina
  19. Take 1/2 bowl curd
  20. Make ready 3 bowls water
  21. Make ready To taste salt
  22. Take 1 onion
  23. Make ready 1 Green chilli
  24. Prepare 8-10 curry leaves
  25. Get 1 tb sp cooking oil for greasing

Whole Wheat Flour is rich in fibre making this a high fibre dosa recipe. It is popular among the Karnataka cuisine as well and is called as the "Ghodi Dosa".   Serve Godumai Dosai with South. If you learn to make this dosa, it will save you a lot of time, it will come handy when you return home late from the office and make your time in the kitchen quite pleasant. Though I have posted wheat dosa earlier here, this is a more detailed recipe with step wise pictures for beginners.

Instructions to make Godhumai Dosa:
  1. Heat oil in a karahi and roast peanuts and remove in a plate. Now put cumin seeds and mustard seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and ginger and fry till translucent. Add curry leaves and green chilli. Add peanuts and mashed potatoes and salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander seeds powder and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add dessicated coconut powder and mix well. Switch off the flame.
  3. Add wheat flour, semolina and rice flour in a mixing bowl and add salt and red chilli powder and curd. Mix well. Now add 1 bowl of water and mix carefully avoiding formation of lumps.
  4. Now add remaining 2 bowls of water and mix. The batter should be of pouring consistency. Add chopped onion,curry leaves, green chilli and mix.
  5. Now heat a griddle and brush with a little cooking Oil and pour batter starting from centre to sides in circulation motion. Pour a few drops of cooking Oil around dosa. Cook for 2 minutes. Flip the side and roast from other side also. Likewise make all the dosas.
  6. Serve hot with potato filling.

If you learn to make this dosa, it will save you a lot of time, it will come handy when you return home late from the office and make your time in the kitchen quite pleasant. Though I have posted wheat dosa earlier here, this is a more detailed recipe with step wise pictures for beginners. I have also given another recipe for wheat dosa which is also equally good. Normally for dosa, we need to soak rice, urid dal for many hours and grind it and then ferment it. But Wheat flour dosa is very simple and can be made with ready made flours without much effort.
