  2. On the other hand prepare stuffing with jaggery syrup and grated coconut just like coconut poornam. - Now on each leaf draw the circle like a small dosa.
  3. Then put the stuffing in the centre and cover the leaf from all sides nicely. - Prepare a steamer with boiling water. - Now place all the prepared elaidais in a steamer plate and cover and cook for about 15 to 20 min. - Delicious elai adai is ready to be served after 20 min

Elai Adai is quintessentially a South Indian dish mainly prepared in Palakkad. Heat a tawa and place the leaves one by one so that they are slightly wilted. This step protects the leaf from tearing while folding the parcel. Now grease the leaf and place the dough in the centre and pat to make small disc.
